The Faculty Development Fund was set up by the UPMAS to support UP College of Medicine faculty requests for grants for academic development. These include support for Masteral / Doctorate Scholarships, Fellowship Grants, Research Dissemination Grants and Faculty Assistance Funds.

Anyone donating PHP 5,000 or above are given a LIMITED EDITION UP College of Medicine Swatch Watch as a token of appreciation. The design is unique and showcases the rich “luntian at pula” colors and historic symbols of the UP like the “Sablay”, which is the UP graduation sash showing the ancient “Baybayin” script for UP. A silhouette of Rizal’s sculpture “The Triumph of Science Over Death” fondly nicknamed “Lady Medicine” appears on the strap.

Grant Availment
UPCM Faculty members wishing to avail of grants through the Faculty Development Fund are encouraged to write formally to the UPMAS Board of Directors. Please include the details of the development opportunity – dates, location, fees – in your correspondence. Attach the formal invitation and program, along with your CV. The letter of request may be dropped off at the UPMAS Office at the following address.
